ISG12 is an innovative system for the integration in amusement parks of a highly customized interactivity element, where visitors can hit a number of luminous targets using infrared guns thus engaging in a fun competition. The system was designed and created for installation on bumper cars, airplane rides or dark rides, but can be adapted to any type of amusement ride.
The Interactive Shooting Game version for Bumper Car is characterized by the presence of an infrared gun/light emitter on each vehicle and targets located on the same vehicles and also possibly on the ground. During the ride, users thus engage in the competition by trying to hit the other vehicles and stationary targets. The system records the targets hit and creates a listing which is updated in real time.
Based on the interactive shooting game technology, it involves a competition between the bumper car vehicles, recording and measuring the intensity of collisions that take place during the ride tour. The unit on the vehicle is equipped with a three-dimensional accelerometer which detects each collision, measures its intensity and distinguishes if it is active (frontal) or passive.
The Interactive Shooting Game version for Dark Ride is available for both Dark Rides on individual vehicle and for the trains with a maximum of 4 passengers per vehicle. There is an infrared gun and a display for the score obtained and the number of shots available for each passenger. Along the way there are a number of luminous targets which the passengers must try to hit with the infrared ray.
Interactive Software Control is a simple and intuitive software for PC, which allows to control every single aspect of the amusement where an interactive shooting game system is installed. The software allows to define the behaviour of vehicles and targets, real-time monitoring the competition and displaying the results on external maxi screens. The software allows a high level of customization programming all the stages of the competition.
